The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act is the Infrastructure Australia Amendment (Social

Sustainability) Act 2017.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
8
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

whether the proposal meets the social, as well as economic, needs

of affected rural and regional communities.

(c) the evaluation of proposals for investment begun; and

(d) Infrastructure Plans developed; and

(e) advice given; and

(f) consultations begun; and
8
(g) corporate plans prepared or varied;
9
on or after the commencement of the Schedule.
