The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act is the
Industrial Chemicals Legislation Amendment Act
5
2020
.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
8
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

Industrial Chemicals Environmental
Management (Register) Act 2020
.
However, the provisions do not commence
at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b)
does not occur.
4. Schedule 3
The later of:
(a) immediately after the commencement of
the
Industrial Chemicals Environmental
Management (Register) Act 2020
; and
(b) immediately after the commencement of
the
Federal Circuit and Family Court of
Australia Act 2020
.
However, the provisions do not commence
at all unless both of the events mentioned in
paragraphs (a) and (b) occur.
Note:
This table relates only to the provisions of this Act as originally

enacted. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of

this Act.

(2) Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this Act.

Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it

may be edited, in any published version of this Act.

(b) an APS employee who holds, or is acting in, an Executive

Level 1 or 2, or equivalent, position in the Department; or
10
(c) an official of another non-corporate Commonwealth entity
11
who:

(i) is an SES employee, or acting SES employee, in the
13
entity; or
14
(ii) holds, or is acting in, an Executive Level 1 or 2, or
15
equivalent, position in the entity.

or after the commencement of this item if the application relates to the

registration year beginning on 1 September 2021 or 1 September of a

later year.
