The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Offshore Petroleum (Royalty)
5
Amendment Act 2011.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
8
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

this Act.

4 Transitional--instruments

(1)
This item applies to an instrument if:

(a) the instrument was in force immediately before the
13
commencement of this item; and
14
(b) the instrument was made or given, by the Designated
15
Authority for an offshore area, under, or for the purposes of,
16
a particular provision of the Offshore Petroleum (Royalty)
17
Act 2006.

(2)
The instrument has effect, after the commencement of this item, as if it
19
had been made or given:
20
(a) by the Titles Administrator; and
21
(b) under, or for the purposes of, the corresponding provision of
22
that Act as amended by this Schedule.

5 Transitional--acts of Designated Authority to be attributed
24
to the Titles Administrator etc.

(1)
This item applies to an act or thing (other than the making or giving of
26
an instrument) that was done before the commencement of this item:
27
(a) by, or in relation to, the Designated Authority for an offshore
28
area; and
29
(b) under, or for the purposes of, a particular provision of the
30
Offshore Petroleum (Royalty) Act 2006.

The act or thing has effect, after the commencement of this item, as if it
