A Bill for an Act to amend the Passenger Movement
Charge Act 1978, and for related purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the Passenger Movement Charge (Timor Sea
Treaty) Amendment Act 2003.
This Act is taken to have commenced on 20 May 2002.
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any
other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its
terms.
Passenger Movement Charge
Act 1978
1 Section 3 (definition of Area A of the
Zone of Cooperation)
Repeal the definition.
2 Section 3 (definition of installation in
Area A)
Repeal the definition.
3 Section 3
Insert:
installation in the Joint Petroleum Development Area means a
resources installation, or a sea installation, that is attached to the seabed in
the Joint Petroleum Development Area.
4 Section 3
Insert:
Joint Petroleum Development Area has the same meaning as in
the Petroleum (Timor Sea Treaty) Act 2003.
5 Paragraph 4(1)(c)
Omit “Area A”, substitute “the Joint Petroleum
