The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Schools Assistance Amendment Act

2011.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after this Act receives the Royal
8
Assent.

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
11
repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule
12

concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect

according to its terms.

1 Section 22

Repeal the section, substitute:

22 Funding agreements--national curriculum
6
(1) A funding agreement for a non-systemic school, or an approved
7
school system, must require the relevant authority for the school or
8
system to ensure that the school, or each school in the system,
9
implements the national curriculum prescribed by the regulations
10
in accordance with the regulations.
11
(2) Despite subsection 14(2) of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003,
12
regulations made for the purposes of this section may make
13
provision in relation to a matter by applying, adopting or
14
incorporating, with or without modification, any matter contained
15
in an instrument or other writing as in force or existing from time
16
to time.
