Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Secretary must not make an offer or give a refusal to a person whose application has been determined if the re is an alternative amount for the person .
(2) The Secretary must not make an offer or give a refusal to a person on or after 1 September 2018 , except as a consequence of a review of a det erm ination made before that day.
(3) The Secretary must not make an offer or give a refusal to a person on or after 1 December 2018 .
(4) Subsections ( 2) and (3) prevent the Secretary from making an offer or giving a refusal on or after a date specified in those subsections even if, on the specified date, the Secretary is waiting for further information to be provided in accordance with a request under section 68 or a requirement under section 69 .
(5) This section has effect despite anything else in this Act.
