Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsThis Part deals with certain items on board a ship or an aircraft that is in Australia after arriving in Australia from a place outside Australia. The Part empowers an officer, under certain circumstances:
(a) to approve a storage place on the ship or aircraft for the purpose of safekeeping the item; or
(b) to take the item into custody;
for a period that ends when the ship or aircraft departs from Australia or otherwise ceases to be subject to this Part.
