Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) If the Minister is satisfied that a law of a State or the Northern Territory adequately protects cetaceans in the coastal waters, or a part of the coastal waters, of the State or Territory, the Minister may make a declaration accordingly, whether or not those coastal waters or that part are prescribed waters.
(2) A declaration must be in writing.
