GREAT BARRIER REEF MARINE PARK ACT 1975 - SECT 38FC

Liability for vessel causing damage in Marine Park: offence

  (1)   A person commits an offence if:

  (a)   the person is an owner of or the master of a vessel; and

  (b)   the vessel is used in committing an offence against section   38DA (vessel causing damage in Marine Park) or 38DD (discharging waste).

Penalty:   500 penalty units.

  (2)   Strict liability applies to subsection   (1).
