Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) A determination under paragraph 3DB(4)(a) that a medical practitioner is recognised as a specialist or consultant physician in a particular specialty (other than general practice) has effect, or is taken to have had effect, on and from the day specified in the determination.
(2) The day specified may be before the day on which the determination is made.
(3) The determination ceases to have effect if:
(a) the medical practitioner ceases to be domiciled in Australia; or
(b) the medical practitioner ceases to practise medicine in Australia.
(4) The Minister must revoke the determination if the medical practitioner requests that the Minister do so.
