(1) A Commission, a member , or a person authorised in writing by the presiding member , may:
(a) inspect any documents or other things produced before, or delivered to, the Commission; and
(b) retain the documents or things as long as reasonably necessary for the Commission ' s investigation ; and
(c) copy matter that is contained in such a document a nd is relevant to the Commission ' s investigation.
(2) If the retention of a document or other thing by the Commission ceases to be reasonably necessary for the Commission ' s in vestigation , the Commission must, if a person who appears to the Commission to be entitled to the document or thing requests, cause the document or thing to be delivered to that person.
(3) Subsection ( 2) does not limit subsection 39 ( 2 ).
