Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Compensation under section 81 for the cost of financial advice or legal advice is payable to:
(a) the person who made the claim for compensation; or
(b) if that person so directs:
(i) the person who gave the advice; or
(ii) any other person who incurred the cost of the advice.
Note: A special rule applies if a trustee is appointed under section 432.
(2) An amount paid to the person who gave the advice discharges
any liability of any other person for the cost of the advice to the extent of
the payment.
