NAVIGATION ACT 2012 - SECT 3

    The object s of this Act are:

  (a)   to pro mote the safety of life at sea; and

  (b)   to promote safe navigation ; and

  (c)   to prevent pollution of the marine environment; and

  (d)   to ensure that AMSA has the necessary power to carry out inspections of vessels and enforce national and international standards .
