(a) a seafarer is suff ering from a disease or illness or requires essential dental care ; and
(b) the seafarer is temporarily removed f rom the seafarer ' s vessel for th e purpose of preventing infection or otherwise for the convenience of the vessel.
(2) Expenses for the following are to be paid by the owner of the vessel:
(a) the removal of the seafarer from, and the seafarer ' s return to, the vessel;
(b) providing the necessary surgical and medical advice and attendance, essential dental care and medicine, while the seafarer is away from the vessel ;
(c) the maintenance of the seafarer while he or she is away from
the vessel.
