Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Section 187 does not apply to a part of the Register if the Registrar is satisfied that it would not be in the public interest for information in that part of the Register to be available to the public.
Note: Such information must not be made available to the public: see subsection 98A(2).
Concerns of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders
(3) In determining whether it would or would not be in the
public interest for information in that part of the Register to be available
to the public, the Registrar must have due regard to the cultural and
customary concerns of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders.
