Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsWhere a complaint with respect to action taken by a Department or by a prescribed authority is made to the Commonwealth Ombudsman or the Defence Force Ombudsman and the person holding that office considers, having regard to the functions and duties of each of those offices, that it would be more appropriate to deal with, or to continue to deal with, the complaint or part of the complaint in his or her capacity as the holder of the other office, he or she may deal with, or continue or deal with, as the case may be, the complaint or that part of the complaint accordingly.
