Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The responsible Commonwealth Minister may, by legislative instrument, declare a law of a State to be a compatible cross - boundary law for the purposes of this Act.
(2) The responsible Commonwealth Minister may, by legislative instrument, declare a law of the Northern Territory to be a compatible cross - boundary law for the purposes of this Act.
(3) The responsible Commonwealth Minister must not, in
exercising the power conferred by subsection (1), give preference
(within the meaning of section 99 of the Constitution) to one State or
part of a State over another State or part of a State.
