Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to subsection ( 2), this Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(2) Section 9 shall come into operation on a date to be fixed by Proclamation, being a date not earlier than the date on which the Convention enters into force for Australia .
