Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Registrar must not register a ship in the General Register or International Register unless and until a certificate relating to the tonnage measurement of the ship issued under, or otherwise having effect because of, the Navigation Act has been lodged with the Registrar.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a prescribed ship, or ships included in a prescribed class of ships.
