Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) A Commissioner may resign by giving to the Minister a signed notice of resignation.
(2) If the Chief Commissioner resigns, he or she also resigns his or her position as the Chief Executive Officer.
Note: Subsection (2) does not prevent a person who is both the Chief Commissioner and the Chief Executive Officer from being re - appointed only as a part - time Commissioner.
(3) The resignation takes effect on the day on which it is
received by the Minister or, if a later day is specified in the resignation,
on that later day.
