Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations Commonwealth Consolidated RegulationsThe holder of a commercial pilot (balloon) licence or a CAR certificate of validation for an overseas balloon authorisation that is equivalent to a commercial pilot (balloon) licence may apply to CASA for the issue of either or both of the following balloon flight crew ratings:
(a) a flight instructor (balloon) rating;
(b) a balloon grade of night VFR rating.
