Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations(1) A person is an infringement officer for the purposes of this Division if:
(a) the person is an officer of Customs; and
(b) the Comptroller - General of Customs authorises the person to exercise the powers or perform the functions of an infringement officer under this Division.
(2) A person who is an infringement officer for the purpose of exercising powers mentioned in subsection (1) is also an infringement officer for the purposes of:
(a) exercising other powers under this Division; or
(b) performing functions or duties under this Division;
that are incidental to the powers mentioned in subsection (1).
