Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations(1) The functions of the Aged Care Secretary under the following provisions are prescribed functions of the Chief Executive Medicare:
(a) paragraph 96 - 7(2)(b) of the Aged Care Act;
(b) paragraph 96 - 7(2)(b) of the Aged Care Transitional Act.
(2) To avoid doubt, in performing the prescribed function s under subsection ( 1), the Chief Executive Medicare may receive and consider requests from applicants to extend the period for giving further information.
