Australian Broadcasting Corporation (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 1983 No. 7 of 1983 - SECT 12

12. All positions that existed in the service of the Australian Broadcasting
Commission immediately before the commencing day by virtue of section 45 of
the Broadcasting and Television Act 1942 continue in existence, subject to
Part V of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983, as positions in
the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Service as if they had been created by
the Board pursuant to section 34 of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation 
Act 1983 .
