Australian Broadcasting Corporation (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 1983 No. 7 of 1983 - SECT 24

24. Section 31 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end thereof
the following sub-section:

''(5) The performance of the functions or the exercise of the powers of the
Commission is not affected by reason that-

   (a)  in respect of a State, there is no Commissioner ordinarily resident in
        that State;

   (b)  the number of Commissioners falls below 9; or

   (c)  the number of women who are Commissioners falls below 2, for not
        longer than 6 months.''.
