AUSTRALIA COUNCIL AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 114 of 1980 - SECT 7

7. Section 11 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after sub-section
(4) the following sub-sections:



"(4A) A person who has attained the age of 65 years shall not be appointed, or
re-appointed, as a full-time Chairman of the Council and a person shall not be
appointed, or re-appointed, as a full-time Chairman of the Council for a
period that extends beyond the date on which he will attain the age of 65
years.



"(4B) A member of the Council appointed under paragraph 9 (2) (b) holds office
until he ceases to be the Chairman of the relevant Board.".
