AGED CARE INCOME TESTING ACT 1997 No. 103 of 1997 - SECT 8

If:

   (a)  a person is receiving a pension under Part II or IV of the
        Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986 at a rate determined under or by
        reference to subsection 30(1) of that Act; and

   (b)  the person is also receiving an income support payment, the rate of
        which is reduced to take account of the pension referred to in
        paragraph (a); the person's ordinary income under section 7 is taken
        to be reduced by an amount equal to 2 times the difference between:

   (c)  the rate that would have been the rate of the income support payment
        if the person was not receiving the pension referred to in paragraph
        (a) but was receiving an additional amount of other income equal to
        the rate of that pension; and

   (d)  the rate of the income support payment.
