AGED CARE (CONSEQUENTIAL PROVISIONS) ACT 1997 No. 114 of 1997 - SECT 49
49 Classifications under 1954 Act that were in force immediately before commencement day
(1) If:
(a) immediately before the commencement day, a classification for the
purposes of Division 4 of Part III of the 1954 Act was in force in
respect of a particular person; or
(b) after the commencement day, a classification for the purposes of
Division 4 of Part III of the 1954 Act is made, or taken to have been
made, in respect of a particular person; then, subject to subsection
(2):
(c) the classification continues in force as if section 10F of the 1954
Act had not been repealed; and
(d) section 10F of the 1954 Act (including any instruments in force under
that section as at the commencement day), continues to apply in
respect of the classification as if it had not been repealed.
(2) The classification ceases to have effect on a day (if any) determined by
the Secretary by writing.
