Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Selection Committee Act 1984 No. 59 of 1984 - SECT 18

18. (1) The Minister may terminate the appointment of a member for
misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity.

(2) If-

   (a)  a member becomes bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of any law for
        the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his
        creditors or makes an assignment of his remuneration for their
        benefit;

   (b)  a member fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with his
        obligations under section 19;

   (c)  the Chairman is absent, except with the leave of the Minister, from 3
        consecutive meetings of the Committee; or

   (d)  a member other than the Chairman is absent, except with the leave of
        the Chairman or Acting Chairman, from 3 consecutive meetings of the
        Committee, the Minister shall terminate the appointment of the member
        concerned.
