BANKRUPTCY AMENDMENT ACT 1976 No. 161 of 1976 - SECT 3

3. Section 27 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting paragraph (a) of sub-section (1) and substituting the
        following paragraph:-

''(a) the Federal Court of Australia;''; and

   (b)  by inserting after sub-section (1) the following sub-section:-

'' (1A) Where proceedings under this Act were instituted in the Federal Court
of Bankruptcy before the date of commencement of this sub-section and the
hearing of the proceedings had commenced or been completed before that day,
that Court continues to have jurisdiction in bankruptcy under this Act in
relation to those proceedings and in relation to proceedings incidental to
those proceedings.''.
