BANKRUPTCY AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 12 of 1980 - SECT 169

169. Section 310 of the Principal Act is amended-

(a) by omitting from sub-section (3) "Where" and substituting "Subject to
sub-section (3A), where";

   (b)  by inserting in sub-section (3) ", the date of the bankruptcy" after

"description of the bankrupt";

   (c)  by inserting after sub-section (3) the following sub-section:



"(3A) Nothing in sub-section (3) shall be taken to have required, or to
require, the Registrar to cause a notice referred to in that sub-section to be
published in respect of a person who-

   (a)  was an undischarged bankrupt immediately before the commencement of
        this Act, whether he became a bankrupt under a law of the Commonwealth
        or of a State or Territory; and

   (b)  was discharged from bankruptcy before the commencement of this section
        by virtue of sub-section 149 (2) of the Bankruptcy Act 1966."; and

   (d)  by inserting in sub-section (6) "annulling the administration of the
estate of a deceased person under Part XI or" after "the Court makes an
order".
