BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 143 of 1980 - SECT 20

20. Section 85 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (5) and
substituting the following sub-section:



"(5) Before the Minister gives a direction to the Tribunal under sub-section
(4), the Minister, or an officer authorized by the Minister in writing for the
purposes of this sub-section, shall give the licensee notice in writing
specifying the direction proposed to be given by the Minister and informing
the licensee that he may make representations to the Minister not later than a
specified date (being a date not earlier than 14 days after the date of the
notice), and the Minister shall have regard to any representations so made.".
