BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 143 of 1980 - SECT 28

28. Section 111C of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (2)
and substituting the following sub-section:



"(2) In discharging his responsibilities under paragraph (a) of sub-section
(1), the Minister shall-

   (a)  consult representatives of broadcasting stations and television
        stations in relation to matters affecting those stations; and

   (b)  if there is a Broadcasting Council-consult with that Council in
        relation to matters generally affecting broadcasting and television in
        Australia.".
