BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1976 No. 187 of 1976 - SECT 20

Making of regulations.
20. (1) At any time after the commencement of this section and before the
commencement of a provision of this Act amending the Principal Act,
regulations may be made as if that provision had come into operation, but,
subject to sub-section (2), regulations so made shall not come into operation
before the commencement of that provision.

(2) Where, by virtue of sub-section (1), regulations are made before 1 January
1977 for the purposes of paragraph 134 (1) (ba), to be inserted in the
Principal Act by this Act, appointments may be made before that date in
pursuance of those regulations as if those regulations had come into
operation, but appointments so made shall not have effect before that date.

(3) The power to make regulations under the Principal Act as amended by this
Act extends to the making of regulations that are necessary or convenient for
giving effect to section 18, including regulations making provision for or in
relation to matters arising out of or connected with the amendments of the
Principal Act made by this Act.
