BARLEY RESEARCH ACT 1980 No. 168 of 1980 - SECT 25

Meetings of State Committees
25. (1) Subject to this section, meetings of a State Committee shall be held
at such times and places as the Committee from time to time determines.

(2) The Chairman of a State Committee may at any time convene a meeting of the
Committee.

(3) At a meeting of a State Committee-

   (a)  such number of members of the Committee as is determined from time to
        time by the Minister, not being less than two-thirds of the membership
        of the Committee, form a quorum;

   (b)  the Chairman of the Committee shall preside;

   (c)  if the Chairman of the Committee is not present, or if a Chairman of
        the Committee has not been appointed under section 24, the members of
        the Committee who are present shall appoint one of their number to
        preside at the meeting;

   (d)  all questions shall be determined by a majority of the votes of the
        members of the Committee present and voting; and

   (e)  the Chairman of the Committee or other person presiding has a
        deliberative vote and, in the event of an equality of votes, also has
        a casting vote.
