CORPORATIONS ACT 1989 No. 109 of 1989 - SECT 223

223. (1) Without affecting the operation of any of the preceding provisions of
this Part, a director of a company who is by the articles required to hold a
specified share qualification and is not already qualified shall obtain the
qualification within 2 months after the person's appointment or such shorter
period as is fixed by the articles.

(2) Unless otherwise provided by the articles, the qualification of a director
of a company must be held by the director solely and not as one of several
joint holders.
