CORPORATIONS ACT 1989 No. 109 of 1989 - SECT 498

Power to adjourn meeting
498. (1) A meeting convened under section 497 may by resolution be adjourned
from time to time to a time and day specified in the resolution but shall not
be adjourned to a day later than 21 days after the day for which the meeting
was originally convened.

(2) Where a meeting is adjourned, the adjourned meeting shall, unless it is
otherwise provided by the resolution by which it is adjourned, be held at the
same place as the original meeting.

(3) Where a meeting is adjourned to a day more than 8 days after the passing
of the resolution by which it is adjourned, the company shall cause notice of
the day, time and place of the resumption of the meeting to be published, in a
daily newspaper circulating generally in the State or Territory in which the
resumed meeting is to be held, at least 7 days before that day.

(4) If the meeting of the company is adjourned and the resolution for winding
up is passed at an adjourned meeting, any resolution passed at the meeting of
the creditors has effect as if it had been passed immediately after the
passing of the resolution for winding up.
