627. Section 615 does not apply in relation to an acquisition of shares
resulting from the exercise by a person of a renounceable option or of an
option or right granted or conferred by a convertible note, where, if the
person had acquired the shares when the person acquired the renounceable
option or the convertible note, as the case may be, the acquisition of the
shares would not, because of subsection 620 (1) or (2), or a corresponding
law, have contravened section 615 or a corresponding law, as the case may be.
