CORPORATIONS ACT 2001 No. 50, 2001 - SECT 778

Gaming and wagering laws not applicable to certain contracts and relevant agreements

(1) Despite any law of a State or Territory in this jurisdiction about gaming or wagering:

(a)
a person may enter into an option contract on:

(i)
a stock market of a securities exchange; or
(ii)
an exempt stock market; and
(b)
the contract is valid and enforceable.

(2) Despite any law of a State or Territory in this jurisdiction about gaming or wagering:

(a)
a person may enter into a relevant agreement of a kind prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 92A(1)(b); and

(b)
the agreement is valid and enforceable.
