COMMONWEALTH AUTHORITIES AND COMPANIES ACT 1997 No. 153 of 1997 - SECT 43

(1) The responsible Minister may notify the directors of a wholly- owned
Commonwealth company in writing of general policies of the Commonwealth
Government that are to apply to the company. The responsible Minister must
consult the directors before notifying them of the policies.

(2) The directors must ensure that the policies are carried out in relation to
the company.

(3) The directors must also ensure, as far as practicable, that the policies
are carried out in relation to the subsidiaries of the company.

(4) The responsible Minister may, in writing, exempt the directors of a
wholly-owned Commonwealth company from subsection (2) or (3) in relation to
specified activities.
