CHILD CARE PAYMENTS ACT 1997 No. 195 of 1997 - SECT 12
Meaning of payment commencement day
(1) Subject to subsections (2), (3) and (4), the payment commencement day is
the day fixed by Proclamation as the payment commencement day for the purposes
of this Act.
(2) The day fixed by Proclamation under subsection (1):
(a) must not be more
than 6 months after the day on which this Act commences; and
(b) must be a Monday next following a day that is a family payment payday
for the purposes of the Social Security Act 1991 .
(3) If the payment commencement day is not fixed by a Proclamation under
subsection (1) within the period of 6 months beginning on the day on which
this Act commences, the payment commencement day is the first Monday after the
end of that period that is a Monday next following a day that is a family
payment payday for the purposes of the Social Security Act 1991 .
(4) The payment commencement date will not be earlier than 27 April 1998.
