CHILD CARE PAYMENTS ACT 1997 No. 195 of 1997 - SECT 200
Total number to be divided on regional basis
(1) For the purposes of allocating new child care assistance hours for *
centre based long day care services in 1998 and 1999, the Minister must make a
determination:
(a) specifying the regions in respect of which allocations of
new child care assistance hours are to be made; and
(b) dividing the total number of 1,008,000 hours referred to in
section 199 into numbers of hours available for allocation to centre
based long day care services in each of those regions.
(2) The determination may also divide the number of hours specified as
available for allocation in a particular region into numbers of hours
available for allocation in respect of different categories of * centre based
long day care service (for example, care provided to children in a particular
age group).

(5) A determination under this section is a disallowable instrument for the
purposes of section 46A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 .
