CHILD CARE PAYMENTS ACT 1997 No. 195 of 1997 - SECT 233

Protection extends to court, tribunal etc. proceedings (1) An ^*officer must not, except for the purposes of this Act, the Social Security Act 1991 or the former payments legislation, be required:

(b) to disclose any matter or thing of which he or she had notice;

by reason of the performance or exercise of his or her duties, functions or powers under this Act, or the Social Security Act 1991 or the former payments legislation to:

(d) a tribunal; or

(e) an authority; or

(f) a person;

that has power to require the production of documents or the answering of questions.

(2) In this section:

former payments legislation means the Child Care Act 1972 or the Childcare Rebate Act 1993 .
