CHILD CARE PAYMENTS ACT 1997 No. 195 of 1997 - SECT 87
Prospective claims--no payment in respect of periods before or after the maximum rebate period
(1) Child care rebate is not payable to a person pursuant to a * prospective
claim in respect of any period before the start of, or after the end of, the *
maximum rebate period specified in the determination granting the claim (see
section 101), or that period as extended under this section.
(2) The Secretary may extend the * maximum rebate period (including as
previously extended under this subsection) by a period of at least 4 weeks and
not more than 12 months if, before the end of the period:
(a) the person has
provided the Secretary with * information relating to the period of the
extension in the form approved in writing by the Secretary; and
(b) the Secretary is satisfied that the information provides a sufficient
basis for the determination of the child care rebate that will be
payable to the person in respect of that period.
(3) There is no limit to the number of times that the * maximum rebate period
may be extended.
