Commonwealth Electoral Legislation Amendment Act 1983 No. 144 of 1983 - SECT 139

139. Section 211 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:

''(a) is convicted of an offence against-

        (i)    section 158 or 159 of this Act or section 28 of the Crimes Act 
               1914 ; or

        (ii)   an offence against section 7 of the Crimes Act 1914 that
               relates to an offence referred to in sub-paragraph (i); or'';
               and

   (b)  by inserting in paragraph (b) '', within the meaning of Part
XVIII,'' after ''influence''.
