Commonwealth Electoral Legislation Amendment Act 1983 No. 144 of 1983 - SECT 43

43. Before section 59 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted
in Part X: Issue of writs for election of Senators for Territories

''59AA. (1) The Governor-General may cause writs to be issued for elections of
Senators for Territories.

''(2) The writs for the elections of Senators for Territories in accordance
with section 20 shall be issued within 10 days from the expiry of the House of
Representatives or from the proclamation of a dissolution of the House of
Representatives.''.
