Commonwealth Electoral Legislation Amendment Act 1983 No. 144 of 1983 - SECT 60

60. Before section 85 of the Principal Act the following sections are inserted
in Part XII: Interpretation

''85AA. In this Part, 'postal voting officer' means-

   (a)  an Assistant Divisional Returning Officer; or

   (b)  an officer appointed under section 85AB. Postal voting officers

''85AB. The Electoral Commission may appoint a person to be a postal voting
officer for the purposes of this Part.''.
