MINOR AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS
Australian Federal Police Act 1979 Before paragraph 12L(a):
Insert:

"(aa) for the purposes of those provisions of that Act, a prescribed offence
were a class 1 general offence or a class 2 general offence; and". Section
34A:
Add at the end:

"(2) Subsection (1) does not prevent a person from being promoted while on
maternity leave.". Paragraph 43(1)(a):
Insert "or a staff member" after "member". Paragraph 44(a):
Insert "or a staff member" after "member". Subsection 61(1):

   (a)  Insert ", staff member or special member" after "member" (first
        occurring).

   (b)  Omit "member" (second occurring), substitute "person". Section 64:
