DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT 1992 No. 135 of 1992 - SECT 126

Protection from civil actions
126.(1) The Commission, a member of the Commission, the Commissioner or a
person acting under the direction or authority of the Commission or of the
Commissioner or a delegate under section 121 is not liable to an action or
other proceeding for damages for or in relation to an act done or omitted to
be done in good faith in the performance or purported performance of any
function, or in the exercise or purported exercise of any power or authority,
conferred on the Commission or the Commissioner.

(2) If:

   (a)  a complaint has been made to the Commission; or

   (b)  a submission has been made, a document or information has been given,
        or evidence has been given, to the Commission or the Commissioner; a
        person is not liable to an action, suit or other proceeding in respect
        of loss, damage or injury of any kind suffered by another person
        because only that the complaint or submission was made, the document
        or information was given or the evidence was given.
