DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT 1992 No. 135 of 1992 - SECT 96

Fees for witnesses
96.(1) A person summoned to appear before the Commission is entitled to be
paid in respect of the person's attendance, fees, and allowances for expenses,
fixed by or in accordance with the regulations.

(2) Subject to subsection (3), the fees and allowances must be paid:

   (a)  in a case where the person was summoned at the request of a person
        other than the Commonwealth - by the person who made the request; or

   (b)  in any other case - by the Commonwealth.

(3) The Commission may, in its discretion, order that the fees and allowances
payable to a person summoned as mentioned in paragraph (2)(a) must be paid, in
whole or in part, by the Commonwealth.
